One of the greatest news stories I have ever seen (do you feel my sarcasm) . . .

For most of you who don’t know, Omaha is known for a lot of things like Warren Buffet, insurance companies and Creighton University but Omaha is also known for the abundance of construction companies.

Maybe it’s the fever associated with my current illness or it just could be the stupidity associated with news story I just saw on KETV 7 here in Omaha.

The story was about the stimulus and its impact on Nebraska and specifically Omaha.

The reporter is interviewing a construction worker on a work site as he complains about the stimulus and its lack of impact as he is working on a job site. Let me say that again . . . as he is working. When the national unemployment rate is above 10% and Nebraska’s unemployment rate sits at 6% (a lot lower than the national average, I know) this man is complaining about working as well as the lack of jobs for the next “five to ten years”.

Yes, an employed person complains about the stimulus and its lack of impact as he is working and complaining about his job that won’t be there in the next ten years. Wow, what that hell as happened to us?
